To honor Professor Gaspar De Alba’s remarkable career and contributions to Social Sciences and our department, a retirement symposium, “Otro Corazón 3: Queering Sor Juana,” will be held on February 26, 2026 at 9 am – 7 pm at Northwest Campus Auditorium, UCLA. The event will feature two panels and live performances from the opera, JUANA. reflecting on Alicia’s legacy.
